Child molesting charges have been filed in Lake Superior Court against a Gary woman and a male companion who are accused of molesting a girl in Hobart when she was 5.
Rebecca Susan Hristodoulou, 34, a stripper, told police she was high on crack cocaine when the girl was molested between January 2008 and March 2010, court records state.
Co-defendant William Edward Strang, 30, of Burbank, Ill., admitted to police he engaged in a sex act with the child six to seven times while the mother witnessed the activity.
Strang told police the crimes occurred from around June 1, 2008 until 18 months later when he moved out of the Hobart home.
The victim, now 9, gave a statement to Hobart police in January detailing sexual abuse between the girl, Strang and Hristodoulou. The girl also told police she engaged in the same sexual activity with other men who came to the house.
Hristodoulou told police she is a dancer at a topless bar and has had sex with men for money.
The charges, which were filed Thursday, are punishable by a 20- to 50-year sentence.
The case is assigned to the courtroom of Judge Clarence Murray.
Once arrested, Hristodoulou and Strang initially will be held without bail.
