FORT WAYNE (AP) β€” Police say a 24-year-old Fort Wayne man has been charged with aggravated battery and criminal recklessness with a firearm after an ambulance transporting a stabbing victim and a car following it to the hospital were sprayed by bullets, injuring four.

Fort Wayne police say Traneilous Jackson also was charged Monday with possession of a firearm by a felon.

Police say three people in the car were shot about 3 a.m. Sunday. Their conditions were not available. The Journal Gazette reports an ambulance medic struck by bullet fragments was treated at a hospital and released.

Police say a man in the car with Jackson faces a charge of resisting arrest and another was charged with underage drinking.

Jackson is scheduled to be in court Thursday. He’s being held without bond.
