A 17-year-old Gary boy driving a motorcycle died after a Tuesday evening accident on the Borman Expressway.

The accident happened around 8:45 p.m. in the eastbound lanes near the Kennedy Avenue exit when a motorcycle driven by Jonathan P. Veenstra-Bell, 17 of Gary, crashed into the rear of a semitrailer, according to the Indiana State Police. The bike was pinned underneath the semi, according to police.
