Part of 109th Ave. closed in Crown Point Thursday

CROWN POINT — The Lake County Highway Department will close East 109th Avenue between Colorado and Iowa streets from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday.
School buses and emergency vehicles will be allowed to travel the closed road during that time period, Highway Superintendent Marcus W. Malczewski said.
The work will not be done if the weather is inclement.
Eastbound traffic can detour from Iowa Street to 113th Avenue to Benton Street, then north to 109th Avenue.
Westbound traffic can take Colorado Street north to 101st Avenue, then west to Broadway.
