Lake Station woman killed in crash in Hammond

A Lake Station woman died Tuesday after she was involved in a vehicle accident in Hammond, the Lake County Coroner’s Office said.
Shirley Webber was pronounced dead at 7:25 p.m. at St. Catherine’s Hospital in East Chicago. The coroner’s office said she died from blunt force trauma.
The accident was at Kennedy Avenue and Michigan Street, although it is unclear when.
