Police search for Winfield bank robbery suspect

WINFIELD — A man who robbed First Midwest Bank on Friday morning was still at large by nightfall.
According to police, the man entered the bank at 10858 Pike St. about 11 a.m., flashing a gun. He fled on foot.
He is described as a black male about 5 feet 9 inches tall, wearing a red and black jacket, according to Lake County police spokeswoman Patricia Van Til.
Anyone with information can call Lake County police at 755-3400.
