EC man killed in Hammond crash

An East Chicago man was killed in an a vehicle crash in Hammond on Friday night.
Eliaser Jeronimo Jr., 43, of the 4100 block of Olcott Street, died as a result of blunt force trauma, according to a news release form the Lake County Coroner’s Office.
The crash occurred at 1543 Chicago Ave., Hammond, the release said. Jeronimo was pronounced dead at 10 p.m. No further details were available.
