Weather wipes out sectional basketball at KV, Michigan City, Winamac

Three boys basketball sectional tournament sites have canceled games Tuesday night because of a winter storm alert.

The sites include Kankakee Valley, Michigan City and Winamac.

The Michigan City schools website says the basketball games will be played Wednesday.

Also, the Lake Station City Court canceled court tonight and Purdue University Calumet postponed its Summer Programs Exhibition, originally scheduled to be held at 5 p.m. today.

Officials said it will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, March 15.

Also, the School City of Hobart has cancelled all events Tuesday.
