Teen girl grabbed by stranger in Valpo

VALPARAISO — A 14-year-old told police a stranger grabbed her as she walked home alone Saturday night.
The incident happened just before 8:50 p.m. in the area of Eisenhower Avenue and Worthington Drive, on the east side of town in a residential neighborhood north of Glendale Boulevard.
The girl told police she was on the sidewalk when a man, who had been leaning against a tree, grabbed her shirt and said, “Come here.” The girl pushed him away and ran.
The man was described as in his early 20s, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a “DC” emblem.
Police are investigating. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police 462-2135.
