VALPARAISO -- Two teens have been arrested for an April burglary at the Bargain Barn, 815 Calumet Ave.
At about 11:30 p.m. April 29, two males shattered the glass front door of the business and stole five skateboards, according to police. Their faces were covered with bandanas and masks.
Police later received information that a teen male was riding one of the stolen skateboards in the downtown area. Valparaiso Police Detective Brian Thurman learned the suspect’s identity and interviewed him. He admitted to the burglary, according to a Valparaiso Police news release issued Thursday.
Charles Dushon O’Connor, 18, of Valparaiso, was arrested for Class B felony burglary. A 17-year-old Valparaiso male facing the same charge is being held at the Porter County Juvenile Detention Center.
