A Gary man will admit robbing four banks, according to a plea agreement filed Friday in the U.S. District Court in Hammond.
Stacy Davis, 45, faces up to 20 years on the four counts of bank robbery.
Davis was charged in February with robbing a Chase Bank in Merrillville on Oct. 11 and a Fifth Third Bank in Munster in March 2010. He was charged a month later with robbing TCF Bank in Munster on Oct. 2, just before his hit on Chase Bank, and an earlier robbery in October 2009 on a Merrillville Chase Bank, although it’s unclear if it’s the same one he robbed last year.
His plea agreement calls for Davis to pay restitution, although it does not say how much. It also calls for federal attorneys to recommend he serve the minimum of whatever range federal sentencing guidelines recommend.
Davis’ change of plea hearing is set for Thursday.
