A Crown Point area man has been charged in lake Superior Court with child solicitation involving a 12-year-old girl.
Robert W. Textor, 25, of the 10800 block of Arizona Street, is charged with sending nude photos and sexually explicit messages to the girl while posing as 16-year-old “Robby,” court records state.
The girl’s father found out about the inappropriate photographs, learned Textor works at Four Seasons Equestrian Stable in Crown Point, and went there to confront him, the probable cause affidavit states. Lake County police were called to that incident on July 19.
Hobart police obtained a search warrant for Textor’s residence and saw a bathroom which appeared to be the background for the nude photographs and inappropriate conversations with the girl, court records state. When the girl told Textor she couldn’t send photos, he began asking for pictures of her friend.
The charge is a level 5 felony, which is punishable by one to six years.
