CROWN POINT — Pat Huber and the Crown Point Community Foundation are excited to once again be bringing organizations a chance to introduce themselves to people who want to volunteer. The charitable organizations that came to the last volunteer fair found lots of people willing to help. Some of the volunteers knew who they wanted to help and others found their perfect fit with the charities that had booths at the fair.
Matches are not only made in Heaven, but Huber is looking at making them at the Spring Into Action Volunteer Fair 2012.
Save the date and be ready to see where you fit on Saturday, March 10, at the Crown Point High School cafeteria. The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Last year there were more than 50 area nonprofits participating, and they are expecting even more this year.
Come early so you can spend lots of time investigating what is available.
Exhibiting organizations will be listed in a program.
Heartland Blood Centers will also be at the fair sponsoring a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call 662-7252 for an appointment.
