CROWN POINT — Applications are ready for both the 2012 Winter Market and the 2013 Farmers Market.
The Board of Public Works and Safety has approved the prices for vendor slots for both events. Jennie Burgess, parks director, said the Winter Market will take place Nov. 24 and the cost to exhibit is the same as last year, $100 per space.
“We’re possibly going to look for a new location, but we’re still looking,” Burgess said. Last year it was under a tent on South Street between Hack and Walnut streets.
Prices for the 2013 Farmers Market will be discounted for vendors who apply for a space for the entire season before Dec. 28.
The cost to exhibit for the season, which will run weekly from June 1 to Sept. 28, will be $240.75. For vendors who sign up by the end of 2012 that cost will be reduced to $214 for the season.
Mayor David Uran said the discount will help the city secure vendors.
“It’s a smart marketing tool to ensure the better vendors come to Crown Point,” Uran said.
