Coaches talk about defense like its a religion and offense like its a sin so there’s no doubt about what the focus was when Hanover Cenytral and high scoring Blayr Poston met next door neighbor Lowell the night before Thanksgiving.
Throw int he fact that Hanover defeated Lowell last season and the Devils were not lacking motivation when HC wallked into the Pit’ Lowell’s down home basement gym.
Its going to be hard to win in the Pit this year. Lowell pulled away after halftime and topped Hanover 56-35 , the Devils third straight strong showing of the new season..
The big numbers were that Poston, who averaged 28 poinst a game against River Forest, South Central and Highland, was held to just 14 shots and 10 points against the Devils defense.
Coach Matt #### was pleased.
