CROWN POINT — The Center Township Board elected its officers at the Jan. 8 meeting.
The new officers are: Kate Webster, president; Roland “Bub” Wise, finance officer; and Bryan Bodamer, secretary. All three board members are Republicans.
They have scheduled their next meeting for 5:30 p.m. Feb. 21 to approve the 2013 budget before it goes to Indianapolis.
Township clerk Tammy Hershman is the stand-in for former Trustee Eldon Strong. Strong resigned after accepting the Lake County Council seat vacated by Rick Niemeyer.
Lake County Republican Chairman Kim Krull will have to call a Center Township Republican precinct caucus to fill the trustee’s unexpired term.
Hershman said, “Things are running smoothly, thank goodness.”
