CROWN POINT — Each church and school in the area has its own need for funds to help support its good works.
Trinity Lutheran Church and School is inviting residents to join in some fun at their auction and dinner at Avalon Manor on Friday, March 22. Everyone is welcome.
Tickets include a bid number, dinner with dessert, and Christian fellowship. Tickets must be purchased no later than March 8. Almost 350 people attended the sold-out event last year, so get your reservations in early.
Since this is during Lent, for anyone choosing not to eat meat, there is a vegetarian meal option available at time of purchasing tickets.
The fourth annual dinner and auction is for the benefit of the faith-based school for preschoolers through eighth-graders.
Last year the dinner and auction helped raise over $50,000. This year organizers hope to achieve even greater success to allow them to tackle some capital improvement projects.
The church and school is at 250 S. Indiana Ave.
Auction Committee chairwoman Laura Sauerman said, “We know economic times are tough for our families and businesses as well. That is why we need your help now more than ever. Please consider making a product or service donation, or provide financial support towards the auction through sponsorship.”
