LOWELL — While Lowell is normally a sleepy little town on the surface, down below nasty things are happening to cars parked outside overnight or in business parking lots during the day.
This has been going on for months, but they are not all next to each other and, at least at first look, seem unrelated.
The criminal acts include a rear vehicle window being broken out on April 15 and the same to another car overnight. Both of these incidents took place in the 6000 block of 175th Avenue.
Also overnight, but this time on Apache, someone slashed the tires on a woman’s car. She reported it when she went out to the car in the morning of April 16.
Someone keyed a vehicle while parked in the parking area of a business. And a victim called the police on April 16 around 9:30 p.m. and told police that various items had been stolen from a vehicle sometime in the previous 24 hours. This took place on Marion.
