Footlight Players of Michigan City will present the Neil Simon comedy “Chapter Two” Feb. 3-12.
Directed by Jan Rice, the play tells the story of recent widower, writer George Schneider, who is encouraged by his younger brother Leo to start dating again, sending him into even more depression after a series of bad matches.
Even when he finds a keeper it is still a bumpy trip on the road to Dreamland for these not-so-young lovers as they overcome both their hesitation on the rebound and emotional neediness.
The cast of “Chapter Two” features Marianne LaRiccia, Dee Piotrowski, Donald Beck and James Drader.
Footlight Players is also having auditions for its upcoming production of “Funny Money” 7-10 p.m on Feb. 12 and 13. The cast calls for two women and six men ages 30 to 50.
Footlight Theatre is located at 1705 Franklin St., Michigan City. Call 874-4035 for reservations for “Chapter Two” or more information about auditions.
