Community corn roast
Join the fun at the Community Corn Roast at Community Hospital Outpatient Centre, 9660 Wicker Ave., St. John, with vendor booths, DJ music, hula-hoop contest, Zumba demonstration and more. Admission is $8 per person.

Concert and film

Golf outing benefit
The Fraternal Order of Eagles 2659 annual Golf Outing begins South Shore Country Club, 14400 South Shore Drive, Cedar Lake. The $65 fee includes cart, greens fee, lunch drink tickets and hog roast dinner at the Eagles Club. Proceeds fund scholarships in memory of Spc. Nicholas R. Idalski.
