Art After Dark
The Art After Dark Gala is being held at Sand Creek Country Club, 1001 Sand Creek Drive South, Chesterton, with dancing and a silent auction. Proceeds help support the education programs at the Chesterton Art Center. Tickets are $50 per person.

Arts and crafts
The Ogden Dunes Women’s Club is having a holiday arts and crafts fair at the Ogden Dunes Community Church, 116 Hillcrest Road. More than 30 artists working in glass, pottery, painting, photography, jewelry and textiles sell their wares at the event.

Comfort dog dinner
The Comfort Dog fundraising dinner is being held at Portage High School West cafeteria, 6450 U.S. 6. Prince the Comfort Dog is retiring at the end of the school year and Holy Cross Lutheran Church is raising money to purchase another comfort dog. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children up to age 12.

Pet pantry dinner
The Kibble Kitchen Pet Pantry spaghetti dinner is being held at Woodland Park’s Oakwood Grand Ballroom, 2100 Willowcreek Road, Portage, with raffles, bake sale, wine tasting, silent auction and more. Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for ages 3 to 12. The mission of the pantry is to keep pet-owners suffering from economic crisis from relinquishing pets by providing free pet food until owners are again able to afford to care for them.
