Classic ‘Pippin’ coming to Cedar Lake

Le Arc en Ciel Theatre Group will present the musical “Pippin” June 8-23.
With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and book by Roger Hirson and original choreography by Bob Fosse, the musical uses the premise of a mysterious acting troupe, led by a Leading Player, to tell the story of Pippin, a young prince on his search for meaning and significance.
The LCTG production will be directed by Paul and Angie Lowe and the cast includes Steven Becker, Dan Ball, Andy Leahy, Leslie Evans, Shannon Becker, Aaron Cappello, Chris King, Angie Lowe, Bill Tarkington and Christine Powers.
Nicci Carroll, Hannah Souronis, Austin Traina, LeAnn Stutler, Jackson DeLisle, Aaron Cappello, Brett Balicki, Brandon Kratkoczki, Hayley Kwasniewski, Samantha Tarkington, Holly DeLisle, Rea Robinson and Janet Tarkington are also in the cast.

‘Joseph’
The Genesius Guild in Hammond will present the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” July 20-29.
Ed Griffith is the director, with musical direction by Natalie Franks and Jay Gianetti and choreography by Sarah Miller and Bridget Choe.

Theater camp
M&M Productions and Ross Music Theatre will hold final registrations and auditions for the summer youth theater camp at 5:30 p.m. June 1 at Merrillville High School Auditorium. Use the stage door entrance next to the M entrance at the school.
The camp will feature performances June 22-24 at the M&M Studio Theatre in Hobart.
While preparing for the performances the participants will learn about live theater. The camp is for ages 8 to 16; beginners and seasoned young actors are welcome.
