Corinne Powell has been a Purdue University Extension Educator for 24 years. She is currently the Consumer and Family Sciences Educator in Lake County with a specialty in Foods and Nutrition.
Her responsibilities include program planning based upon the needs of Lake County, as well as developing educational materials in specific subject matter areas and evaluating their effectiveness; teaching and working with individuals and families from varied ethnic and economic backgrounds; answering consumer questions.
She teaches courses on Home Food Preservation as well as Dining With Diabetes. She also teaches programs on health and wellness.
She received her undergraduate degree from Valparaiso University and her graduate degree from Indiana University. She resides in St. John with her husband.
