Marisa Renwald has been a food writer for the Post-Tribune since 2006, and
her column “Comfort Food Quest” has been appearing in the paper since 2007.
After graduating with degrees in English Writing and History from Saint
Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN, Renwald studied food writing with
legendary food writer Alan Richman at The French Culinary Institute in New
York City to receive her certification in food journalism.
Renwald’s work has been cited on numerous food blogs, including
personalcheftogo.com, chocolatebytes.com, and blisstree.com. She is also a
copy writer for Bulk Fresh Pantry, a gourmet bulk ingredient store with
locations in Elk Grove Village, IL; Westmont, IL; and a warehouse in
Highland, IN.
In addition to writing, Renwald also teaches Journalism and English at
Bishop Noll Institute in Hammond.
