Tom and Karen Pavel of Crown Point announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Faye Pavel, to Robert John Rabelhofer of Crete, Ill., son of Bob and Dolores Rabelhofer.
The bride-to-be graduated from Crown Point High School and earned a bachelor degree in nursing from St. Xavier University. She is a surgical nurse at Franciscan St. Anthony Health-Crown Point.
The prospective bridegroom graduated from Bloom Trail High School in Chicago Heights, Ill. He is a firefighter for the Rolling Meadows (Ill.) Fire Department, and is a lieutenant with the Crete Fire Department. He also teaches at the Prairie State College Fire Academy.
They plan a September wedding at the Riviera Maya Resort in Mexico.
