Purcells celebrate 50 years

Betty and Jerry Purcell, formerly of Lake Station, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends in Harriman, Tenn.
Their children are Stephanie Purcell of Chesterton, Beth (Tommy) Harrell of Knoxville, Tenn., and Doug Purcell of Oak Ridge, Tenn.
They have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The honorees were married Oct. 6, 1962, at the Presbyterian Church in Lake Station.
Mr. Purcell retired from Bayou Steel, and Mrs. Purcell retired from the Roane Medical Center. Both are in Harriman.
