Kellie Nicole Heminger and Robert James Spenard were married at the chapel at Aberdeen Manor in Valparaiso.
The bride’s parents are Gary and Terry Heminger of Valparaiso.
The groom’s parents are Kenneth Spenard and Annette Johnson of Joliet, Illinois.
The matron of honor was Kimberly (Heminger) Schifano of Rock Hill, S.C.
The best man was Nathan Olson of Georgia.
The bride graduated from Valparaiso High School, earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, Bloomington, and a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Purdue University, West Lafayette. She is a speech-language pathologist for Methodist Hospitals Southlake Campus in Merrillville.
The groom is an army veteran who served in Iraq. He is pursuing a bachelor’s in nursing at Valparaiso University, and is a registered nurse in the catheterization lab at Methodist Hospitals Southlake Campus.
The couple reside in Crown Point.
