INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Visitors to a memorial to former Gov. Otis “Doc” Bowen in the Statehouse Rotunda may sign a book of condolences that pays tribute to the popular two-term governor.

Gov. Mike Pence is due to lay a wreath at the Statehouse memorial at 8 a.m. Wednesday. The Indiana State Police and the National Guard will provide an honor guard.

The memorial will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EDT Wednesday and Thursday.

Bowen died Saturday at a northern Indiana nursing home. He was 95. His funeral is scheduled for Thursday in his hometown of Bremen.

Pence has ordered flags at state facilities to remain at half-staff through Saturday in tribute to Bowen.
