Crown Point man dies in Hobart crash

HOBART — A 40-year-old Crown Point man died in a one-vehicle crash early Friday morning.
Eric Hanak died from blunt force trauma when his vehicle collided with a utility pole in the 3600 block of West 49th Avenue.
Police were called to the scene about 1:30 a.m. Friday and found the driver had died behind the wheel.
Investigators determined the vehicle had left the road, headed into a ditch and then collided with a utility pole.
Police said the cause of the accident is under investigation.
