GARY — Police suspect foul play in the disappearance of an Aetna woman.
Tywonekia Leon, 27, borrowed her sister’s car on Saturday. That was the last time relatives saw her.
Leon’s sister sent and received text messages from Leon until Monday, when they stopped abruptly, police said.
Family members went to Leon’s home in the 1000 block of Greene Street on Tuesday, where they found the car, but no signs of Leon.
Evidence there prompted the family to call police, who have launched an investigation into her whereabouts.
Lt. Del Stout declined to elaborate on the evidence at the woman’s house, but asked the public to call him with any information about Leon.
She is described as 5-feet, 7-inches, tall, weighing about 155 pounds with light brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with “Bebe” written on it and blue Capri pants.
Anyone with information can call Stout at 881-7439.
