A Valparaiso man suffered only minor injuries after rolling his pickup Monday on Interstate 65 in Jasper County.
A news release from the Indiana State Police said Christopher Bradley, 35, of Valparaiso, was southbound on I-65 just south of the Fair Oaks exit when he swerved to avoid something in the road.
Bradley lost control of his 1993 GMC pickup causing it to go off the road to the left. He over-corrected, the release said, and came back onto the road where it rolled over. The bed of the pickup came off the chassis and separated from the cab as it rolled again and went off the road to the right.
Bradley was taken to Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer with complaint of pain. He was also wearing a seat belt, which ISP Trooper Aaron Trammel said reduced the severity of his injuries.
The truck was a total loss.
