HARMONY — A car crashed on a rural road in western Indiana, killing two passengers.
The passengers were thrown out of the car when it crashed Saturday morning on a rural road near Harmony, about 17 miles northeast of Terre Haute. Police found their bodies in a ditch.
Investigators say the car went out of control on a curve and struck two trees before flipping over.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Department hasn’t released the identities of the passengers who died or of the driver, who was hospitalized. Police say the driver tested negative for drugs and alcohol.
Autopsies are scheduled for Monday at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
