INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A woman who was attacked by a tiger at an Indiana exotic feline refuge has been upgraded to serious condition.

Wishard Memorial Hospital spokeswoman Natalie Moya says 21-year-old Marissa Dub was in the intensive care unit on Saturday, a day after being brought to the Indianapolis hospital in critical condition. The Clay County Sheriff’s Department said Dub was cleaning a cage at the Exotic Feline Rescue Center in Center Point, about 60 miles southwest of Indianapolis, when she was attacked after a cage door was left open.

The sheriff’s department said the tiger is an 18-year-old male named Raja. The feline center was open to the public at the time, but no visitors were in the area when the attack occurred.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is investigating.
