Man who sold crack gets 15 years’ jail

Lake Superior Court Judge Diane Ross Boswell sentenced a Gary man to 15 years in prison for dealing in cocaine.

On three other dates in November, Mann sold more crack to an informant. All of the transactions, which totaled 5.4 gross grams, occurred in broad daylight near a busy street in full view of the public.

The plea agreement outlined the 15-year sentence, which will be served in the Indiana Department of Correction and not an alternative program.

Mann had faced from six to 20 years on the charges. Prosecutors dismissed a separate case charging Mann last year with possession of cocaine.
