Convicted burglar faces
charges in another burglary
A Glen Park man on probation for burglary has been charged again for allegedly breaking into a neighbor’s home in November.
Eric K. Johnson, 20, of 4160 Louisiana St., will be held without bail when he is apprehended in the new case.
A neighbor who previously hired Johnson to cut her grass told Sgt. Brian Farrow she returned home from picking up her son at school Nov. 26 and found the front door open, the probable cause affidavit states.
Inside, she discovered televisions, video systems and games were missing and a bedroom window was broken.
The victim looked in her back yard and saw Johnson loading a television into a car parked in the alley.
Johnson pleaded guilty to a February 2011 burglary and was sentenced to two years in Lake County Community Corrections and four years’ probation.
