Rich James joined the Post-Tribune in 1978 and has spent almost 40 years in

the newspaper business. James covered the first of seven sessions of the

Indiana General Assembly in 1979. He has spent the majority of his career

with the Post-Tribune covering state and local politics as well as Lake

County government.

Most recently, James has been the editorial page editor of the Post-Tribune

and has won a number of state awards for columns and editorial writing. He

is a graduated of Griffith High School and Indiana University, Bloomington.

He spent two years in the Army from 1967-1969.
