Boyfriend of slain St. John native arrested for violating probation

The former boyfriend of a slain St. John native was arrested on a probation violation Wednesday in Louisiana.
Kevin Duck, who was named a person of interest by investigators in the Dawna Natzke homicide, was picked up by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, according to Arkansas Online. The details of Duck’s probation and how he violated it were not immediately available.
Hot Springs, Ark., police dispatcher Natzke, 46, was found dead near the Ouachita National Forest on Dec. 31. Natzke, a 1984 graduate of Lake Central High School, disappeared after leaving a Christmas party with Duck, 28, the night of Dec. 21. She had recently separated from her husband. Natzke’s car was found burned Dec. 22 in the Ouachita National Forest off Arkansas 298, and her body was found about five miles away.
The Garland County Sheriff’s Office and Hot Springs Village are offering an $11,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Natzke’s death. Police have named no suspects in the death of Natzke.
Natzke was the youngest of four sisters who grew up in St. John; her maiden name was Smith.
