DYER — A bandit made off with an unspecified amount of cash after robbing the TCF Bank inside the Jewel Food Store at 805 Joliet St., at about 10 a.m. Saturday.

Dyer Police said the man entered the bank branch and implied he had a weapon during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a heavy-set black male about 25 years old with a thin mustache. He was wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and a white baseball style cap with a black brim and “Bulls” written on it.

Police said the suspect was last seen exiting the east side of the building. It is possible the suspect came and left in a dark-colored vehicle.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to contact Detective Commander Joe Cinko at the Dyer Police Department at (219) 865-1163.
