Crown Point members of the Redevelopment Commission plan to tout accomplishments and lay out goals in a series of public meetings to be set this spring.
Stephen Figurski, RDC chair, said Monday that the commission would like to highlight their accomplishments, talk about potential future projects and get community input on what is happening.
“We are looking at getting everyone together,” Figurski said.
Commission members first discussed the idea of the informational meetings last fall, but put off scheduling anything due to the holidays. They will be conducted in addition to the regularly scheduled RDC meetings.
Figurski said the commission will set up a series of three to five meetings that would take place in March and April.
The meetings will also provide an avenue for new commission members to get up to speed with the work the RDC has accomplished and has in the works.
New commission member Tom Keilman said he would like more information about past work to help him better understand what type of projects the RDC can tackle as the commission moves forward.
“It would be very helpful for me,” Keilman said.
