Serb Fest under way in Merrillville

Serb Fest at St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church in Merrillville, featuring lamb and sarma dinners, cevaps, krofne, strudel and more, got under way Friday. The festival, located behind the church in the Serbian American Hall on Taft Street, will feature a live dancing “kolo” band Saturday and tamburitza music throughout the weekend. The festival continues through Sunday.
