Charges pending in domestic dispute
A Griffith man faces charges stemming from a domestic dispute in which he fired a BB gun at his girlfriend’s bowl of ravioli before turning the pistol on her after accusing her of cheating.
Police found the victim on 40th Place between Oakwood and Arbogast with red marks on her face and neck from being punched, choked and shot with the pistol in the side of the head and ear. Her clothes were spattered with ravioli from the incident at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block of North Oakwood Street, police said.
The victim told police her boyfriend became irate and began yelling because he suspected her of cheating after she was out earlier in the day. The woman was taken to Community Hospital.
