LAKE STATION — Police say an autistic 8-year-old Lake Station boy missing for almost two hours Friday has been found in Gary.
Police said the boy, who was reported missing around 5:30 p.m., was found at about 7:15 p.m. at the Lakeshore Terrace Apartments in Gary.
He was last seen riding his bicycle in the area of 29th Avenue and Wayne Court in Lake Station. Police began searching for the boy shortly after he was reported missing, according to Police Chief Kevin Garber.
It appears the boy rode his bicycle to the apartment complex where he eventually was located.
