2 men wanted in Hobart Game Stop armed robbery

Updated: October 1, 2012 5:28PM

HOBART — Two black men, one displaying a handgun with a suppressor attached, robbed Game Stop on Wednesday afternoon.

Detective Jeremy Ogden said police obtained video surveillance from another store where the two were seen earlier.

“They were casing the whole area,” Ogden said.

About 2:15 p.m., the two suspects entered Game Stop at 2623 E. 80th Ave.

The taller of the suspects had a handgun. They fled the store with cash and merchandise, police said.

Witnesses saw the robbers leave in a “baby blue” Ford Escort with damage to the front bumper, Ogden said.

The suspect with the gun was described as a black male, about 6 feet 2 inches tall with braids in his hair, wearing a red plaid and blue-striped shirt and blue pants. He had a “RIP” tattoo on his neck.

The second suspect is also a black man, shorter than the first, wearing a green hat, gray shirt and baggy pants.

Ogden said police did not determine which way the suspect fled in the blue Escort.

Anyone with information may call Detective Garrett Ciszewski at 942-1125, Ext. 1088.
