Treasures await just under the surface at Cedar Lake

'It's kind fun. I'm retired this is kind fun hobby' said Carl Wesolowski Dyer who uses waders scoop floating bucket

"It's kind of fun. I'm retired and this is kind of a fun hobby," said Carl Wesolowski of Dyer who uses waders, a scoop and a floating bucket to hunt for treasures in the namesake Cedar Lake, Ind. Thursday September, 2012. In the short time he was in the water, Wesolowski so far had found an old fishing lure that needed only a hook and rescued a still-live bumble bee, though his most intriguing find in a past hunt was a 1920s-era ring with three diamonds. | Stephanie Dowell~Sun-Times Media
