St. John woman killed in Illinois crash Friday morning

ALSIP, Ill. — A St. John woman died Friday morning after an accident, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
The accident happened near 127th Street and Cicero Avenue in Alsip, the medical examiner’s office said.
Margeau Phipps, 53, of the 12500 block of Stark Court, St. John, died from her injuries at 9:52 a.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, the medical examiner’s office said.
Officials with the Alsip police and fire departments did not immediately return calls Friday night.
