Woman dies in Griffith apartment fire

GRIFFITH — A fire at an apartment complex killed a woman Friday night.
The fire took place at 620 N. Elmer St. The unidentified woman suffered burns, but the cause of death is still pending, the Lake County Coroner’s office said Saturday.
Griffith police and fire departments were investigating, but no additional information was available Saturday.
