Man admits selling stolen tools

Lake Superior Court Clarence Murray sentenced a Hobart man to six months in jail for receiving stolen property.

Phillip J. Galindo, 31, admitted he sold a jigsaw, leaf blower and chain saw from a June 18, 2012, barn burglary in LaPorte to Cash Indiana pawn shop in Lake Station on July 13.

Galindo will retain a permanent felony on his record. He has 35 more days to serve in custody before he is released.

The charge is punishable by six months to three years.
