EC woman dies nearly week after crash in Calumet City

CALUMET CITY, Ill. — An East Chicago woman died Friday, nearly a week after a crash on Interstate 94 in Calumet City.
Genoveva Henderson, 49, of the 3900 block of Grace Street in East Chicago, was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn at 7:30 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Henderson was involved in a crash Dec. 16 on I-94 near the Sibley Boulevard exit, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Illinois State Police District Chicago could not immediately provide details.
