King said Myricks will be cited for traffic violations.

Armed man kept kids inside home

Police arrested an armed 38-year-old Glen Park man who kept five young children inside a home and refused to communicate with officers until the SWAT team forced its way inside the house.

Deameatrice Hope was arguing with another man at the house when police arrived about 9:42 p.m. Tuesday after learning that a disturbance was occurring at an address near 50th Avenue and Georgia Street.

Hope was being held while police investigate the incident. Five children under the age of 10 years old were found in the house. None of them were hurt.

Members of the Crime Suppression Unit stopped Hunter near 19th Avenue and Clark Road about 3 p.m. for a traffic violation.
