Three Hammond residents are part of a group charged in federal court with counterfeiting an undisclosed amount of money, according to an indictment.
Krystal Charne Puntillo-Raggs, 21; Javorious Raggs, 21; and Terrence D. Benson, 22, all of Hammond, were each charged with one count of counterfeiting, according to the indictment unsealed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court in Hammond.
Duane Coleman and Bianca Tucker were also charged with the same count, although no more information was available on them.
The indictment says that they counterfeited “numerous” $100, $50, $20, $10 and $5 bills.
Puntillo-Raggs, Raggs and Coleman all turned themselves in on Monday. Benson and Tucker were arrested Wednesday. All five have been released on a $20,000 bond. Arraignments are scheduled for Monday.
